Bio: Grew up in southern Wisconsin snowboarding. He first moved Colorado in 2012 where he first
learned about splitboarding. He now lives for early mornings and steep skin tracks. Being introduced to
splitboarding changed the game. Every day is a powder day if you know where to look. He quickly
learned that splitboarding is the answer.
His favorite place to ride is anywhere the snow is falling. 90% of my days are in the backcountry. It is
where he feels at home. Getting away from the crowds at the resorts and enjoying nature and great
conversation on the skin track and comradery on the way down is what makes the backcountry a special
place. That being said Taylor travels to multiple states each season chasing big lines, powder, and stable
snowpack. If there is a splitboard event or a demo event chances are you might run into him.
When he is not snowboarding Taylor enjoys rafting, biking, and camping with his dog Nala.
Favorite memory: 10 day trip sailing the Fjords of Svolvaer Norway and hiking the Lofoten Islands Spring of 2023. We got in
a few days early expecting spring conditions using ice axes and crampons only to have it snow for days
and days on end. By the time we boarded the boat the storms cleared and we had calm seas and deep
powder. Skiing 2,500ft lines to the ocean on a euphoria with my best buds was definitely a surreal
experience. Being able to crush any line we looked at due to stable snowpacks that come with that
climate in sunny days was something I could only dream of repeating.
Why Venture?: Why not? Venture make some of the strongest best performing boards ever. Knowing where my board
comes from and who makes it matters so much. Being able to support a local company whose
snowboards are made by snowboarders makes all the difference.
