Bio: Dave 'Sudsy' Watson grew up surfing and skiing in California. As a freshman in college he saw his  first snowboard at Squaw Valley, which he promptly borrowed. He recalls "I stuck my ski boot liners in my Sorels and hopped on the Gondy. When I blew up on the way down it was a mind altering experience. I did not have to gather my gear from the yard sale, just stand up and keep going. It's been downhill ever since!" Dave moved to Snowmass Colorado in 1995 and began riding 125-150 days a year. He began competing professionally in 2004, and has racked up so many awards since that time that they are too numerous to list. When not sliding on snow, he enjoys mountain biking, mushroom hunting, and drinking fine wine.

Best Snowboarding Memory: Being a member of the 2009 Swatch Freeride World Tour with stops at Krasnaya Polyana Russia, Squaw Valley USA, Tignes France, and Verbier and Nendaz Switzerland. And getting to tour around the Alps with riders Will Brommelsiek, Gennady Kryachkov, Shannan Yates and Freeride Photographer Andrey Britanishky.

Why Venture? Venture Snowboards are the bomb. The durability of the boards is unparalleled. I don't have to throw away my old boards. They just get retired or given away, not broken. And as a Freeride Professional, the stiffness combined with it's responsiveness makes Venture a must ride board.
