Dustin Eldridge
Occupation: Whitewater Guide, Outdoor Educator, Silverton Mountain Guide/Patrol
Home Town: Summer in Crested Butte, CO and Winter in Silverton, CO
Home Mountain: Silverton, CO
Snowboarding since: 2000
Riding Venture since: 2016
Setup: I currently ride the Zelix 161, split and solid. I love being able to jib the mountains and like to go switch whenever I can. I use Karakoram Prime bindings and Deeluxe boots. With the Quiver Connector from Karakoram, I can go from one board to the next seamlessly.
Why Venture? Venture Snowboards are built by riders for riders. Klem has firsthand experience in what a badass, big mountain board should be and builds snowboards with that in mind. These boards are simple, durable, and versatile.
Best Snowboarding Memory: Some of my best snowboarding memories are from the two summers I was able to spend riding in Argentina with SASS Global Travel. I had my first backcountry encounters there and was able to learn from some of the best in the business. We slayed everything from glades and pillows to bowls and couloirs, all while amongst the beautiful Andean peaks.
Bio: Dustin has been in the shadows of the mountains his whole life. While in high school just outside of Denver, the mountains served as an escape from his suburban life. Days were spent spinning park laps at Keystone and Breckenridge until the winter of 2011. Scraping all his savings and graduation money, Dustin headed the call of the wild and migrated down south for a trip to SASS Global Travel in Argentina. There he cut his teeth, learned the fundamentals of riding in the backcountry and realized a career path in the mountains was soon to follow. Colorado Mountain College and Western State Colorado University offered just the place to fuel his ambitions of being a guide. Hard working, hard charging and easy going, Dustin completed a Snow Internship at Silverton Mountain last year and returns this season as one of the newest members of their Patrol.
