Bio: Grew up in Chicago and moved to Durango in 2013. That same winter I discovered splitboarding. My passion for the backcountry quickly grew and now splitboarding is my life! I live year round in a bus with my girlfriend that we converted into a tiny hut on wheels. In the winters I drop everything and chase POW! Wherever it is snowing the most is where you will find me parked with my bus. Most of my days for the season are spent in the backcountry, but I love a good ole' fashion resort POW day! I start my winters shredding and living in the bus in Silverton. From January to February I chase POW and shoot lots of film. During March and April I heliski guide in Haines, Alaska for Alaska Heliskiing. Then I finish off my season in Silverton shredding corn till the snow melts off! I have an Avalanche Pro1, WFR, and am taking the Pro2 this January. I also am a drone operator and have footage in multiple films for multiple athletes! Everything I do is for the love of POW!
Best snowboard memory: The spring of 2019 in Silverton! We had a historical avalanche cycle in March that wiped everything out. Then it did not stop snowing till end of May! Two foot storm after two foot storm followed by sunny days! If you could see it, you could ski it! We were crushing lines that I had dreamed of for years! Plus, lines that normally do not exist because there was so much snow! I left Alaska that year mid-March because Silverton, Colorado was the best place in the world to be! An unforgettable spring living in the bus in Silverton and snowboarding everyday with friends!
Why Venture: Because Venture Snowboards are made by snowboarders that get after it! I ride big lines and pillows and Venture has been my go to for years! They make the most durable boards out there that will crush 100+ days in rocky terrain season after season. From steep couloirs in Silverton to deep spines in Alaska, these boards ride anything!
