Bio: Holly grew up in Western Massachusetts. Her parents met at Mt. Tom Ski Area (her dad on ski patrol & her mom ski instructing). This was where she learned to ski and the place she skied until it closed when she was 4. When she was 13 she wanted to snowboard and once she strapped that board on her feet there was no going back. She moved to Durango in 2015, where she graduated from Fort Lewis College with a degree in Adventure Education. This was her first time experiencing real powder! What an incredible feeling! She moved to Silverton, CO full time in 2020 after she bought the Coffee Bear with her pal Sophie. Silverton and the San Juan mountains are where you can find her and her fluffy dogs - Sandwich & Beans - playing in the alpine all year round.
Why Venture: First & foremost.... a board that is built where I live by people that love these mountains just as much as I do?! No brainer. My Oracle split takes me up and down mountains with efficiency, durability and playfulness. In the San Juans you need a board built just as rugged as the mountains we ride on. Venture delivers that. I couldn't imagine being on a different board.
Favorite snowboard memory: The winter of 2013/2014 - whenever I knew a storm was coming I would drive my little Ford Focus 2.5 hours to Mount Snow in Vermont and sleep in my car in the parking lot because there's no way my car would make it once it started to snow. My friends would rally with me and we'd wake up, make breakfast burritos, get first chair, snowboard all day, go back to sleep in the parking lot and do it all over again the next day.
