Bio: Luke grew up in Long Island, New York. Snowboarding as a kid on weekend and holiday trips to the infamous mountains of the north east, with trail wide blue ice patches and hard landings. Luke moved to Telluride in 2010, that's when the big mountain riding truly began for him. Moving more to human powered riding just a couple years later in the couloirs and powder of the San Juans. A year round mountain athlete, splitboarding, mountain biking, hiking and running in the area for many years has given him a sense of place and home in these majestic mountains.

Best Snowboarding Memory: That's a tough one, there are so many moments to choose from. It's a toss up between a day of multiple first descents in the Ophir area in what was almost mini couloir hunting or the miles and miles of uphill ascending building a partnership that could not be rivaled by any big line or pow slash.

Why Venture? Not only are they the most durable boards out there, the shapes are so fun and playful (I do also ride an Odin split, Paragon solid, Model X solid and had a Storm split for a long time). Made by snowboarders in the San Juans. The care and thought that goes into every board is directly translated to the snow and rider alike.
