Bio: Hi! I’m Rob, but you may know me as Rooftop. I have nearly three decades of experience snowboarding and well over a decade guiding folks on my snowboard, and snowboarding has directed my life’s path and work! There’s nothing like the feeling of making fresh pow (or corn) turns, especially if I made it to the top under my own power. I have been a guide and avalanche worker at Silverton Mountain Ski Area since 2008, at Silverton Guides in Alaska since 2012, and at Telluride Mountain Guides since 2018. I love spending time outside with my wife, daughter, and dogs, drinking coffee and reading, or working on my 100-year-old house in Silverton. As a licensed professional counselor I’m especially interested in helping avalanche professionals and other folks impacted by avalanches and other traumatic outdoor events to heal and build resilience. I’ve completed Professional Avalanche 2, National Avalanche School, Wilderness First Responder, AMGA Alpine Skills, and I am a licensed professional counselor in Colorado.  I love Venture Snowboards because of the fantastic ride in all of my big mountain wanderings, but also because of the incredible durability and ecological ethos pressed into Venture boards. Let’s go shred some pow!
