Traditional camber is catchy and restrictive. The entire edge is either fully locked in or not. On or off, nothing in between. Catching your downhill edge and eating shit on a camber board gets old fast. Full rocker solves that problem, but it's too loose and squirrely. It doesn't hold an edge or carve a turn very well. Flat camber doesn't sound fancy, but with freeride flex and mellow rocker at the tips it doesn't need to. When you put one of our boards on edge it engages gradually. How a board rides comes down to how flex and sidecut work together. Get the combination right and edge pressure distributes evenly on the snow, which means better stability and edge grip. We tune both for each shape and size: a deeper sidecut and softer flex for quick turns, a shallower sidecut and stiffer flex for stability at speed. The core profile on every board is shaped to match its specific sidecut. We do it using an in-house process that we can't talk about. Sorry. It's the reason our boards feel different from everyone else's.

Maple stringers under the inserts and along the sidewalls for maximum durability where your feet meet the board and the board meets the snow. Poplar everywhere else to keep the weight down. All laminates run the full length of the core. No finger-joints, no jigsaw puzzle with grains running across the board creating weakness.

Torsional stiffness is the key to superior edge grip. With fibers aligned in the direction of torsional stress triaxial fiberglass is the best material for the job.

Sintered P-tex absorbs wax better and runs faster than extruded bases. More durable too. We use it on every board.

AKA Die-Cut. Boards with inlaid base graphics have an advantage over printed graphics because with inlay, the base material bonds directly with the other components rather than with a weak layer of ink. By swapping the spare parts from one base with those from another, we are able to use materials more efficiently and eliminate waste.

P-tex doesn't crack like ABS, and it's cleaner to produce: less toxic chemicals, lower energy, lower emissions. That's why we use it. Our sidewalls are epoxied to maple and bonded to the core before milling, not hot-glued into the layup at the last minute. Sandwich construction with P-tex sidewalls means when you slam a rock on your heel edge, the damage is almost always repairable.
